Gareth Bale Urged On To Make Decision On Future Club Amid Pending Offers

Since it was announced that Gareth Bale’s trophy-laden tenure at the Bernabeu will end this summer, a wide range of clubs, including Aston Villa and Newcastle, have been associated with an interest in him.

The Welshman is ready to join a new team to stay sharp ahead of the World Cup later this year. His Real Madrid contract expires at the end of this month, making him a free agent.

The nine-year partnership between the Welsh superstar and Real Madrid, which included five Champions League championships, came to an end this summer, and he is now a free agent.

Gareth Bale has been told to decide quickly on his club future.

This summer, the Welsh superstar ended his nine-year affiliation with Real Madrid.

Since then, he has contributed to his nation’s historic qualification for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Thanks to their 1-0 victory over Ukraine earlier this month, Wales will be attending the World Cup for the first time since 1958.

Bale, who will turn 33 in a month, was essential in getting the team there and will probably be the star once the competition starts.

However, the former Tottenham player has been instructed to choose his next club before their match against the United States in five months.

Along with Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen, he is one of several Wales players whose futures are up in the air.

Dean Saunders, a former supporter of Wales, thinks Bale would be ideal for the Magpies.

“If I could choose a club for him to go to right now, I’d say sign for Newcastle,” Saunders said on talkSPORT. “He would fit in well because they have a project and are moving in the correct direction.”

It is unclear if the 32-year-old will be enticed to return to the Premier League despite the fact that the Magpies have money to spend this summer thanks to their new Saudi owners.

“The lads know where they are at,” Dragons manager Rob Page said, “but I want my players to have a successful pre-season.

Although we want our guys to play, I’m not very concerned about it. We do, of course. We need the bulk of our guys to play every week if we’re going to reach the next level and maintain it.

Gareth and Aaron are both really crucial players for us. They show up and score goals for us in key games.”

One of the more unexpected connections involving Bale is that his local team, Cardiff City, has reportedly expressed interest.

Bale did little to put an end to the rumor earlier this week when he was asked directly about the idea of moving there for the first time.

The Championship side have been connected with a stunning bid.

He simply grinned in response and then said, “I can’t really say. I haven’t actually thought too much about that.” when asked about his options for the 2022–2023 campaign in a more general way.

“To determine what would offer me the best chance of being fit in November and December, I suppose I need to sit down and discuss it—not just with my family but also with the manager here (Rob Page), and with the physiotherapists here who we utilize.

I’m not sure if the standard truly makes a difference. Anything related to football is football. I believe that I will never truly lose my ball skills. I suppose there is room for discussion.”

According to reports in France, Bale has been offered a two-year contract with an option to extend it by another year by Cardiff, who were 18th in the second tier last season.

Of course, money would be the largest obstacle, as Bale’s salary at Madrid is reportedly in the neighborhood of £550,000 per week.

“I don’t have a deadline. I need some time to consider what would be best for my family, my kids, and myself, and perhaps we can decide that during the summer. I have choices.” Bale continued.
